SDI Embedder/De-Embedder Subsystem
For use with the Xilinx® UHD-SDI LogiCORE
Companion to Xilinx UHD SDI Logicore, providing all of the missing functions required for production-ready SDI, including Audio/ANC Embedding & De-Embedding, Synchronization, Remapping, etc.
Functions of the SDI-Bridge
- Generates the SDI data streams with proper sync words according to SMPTE standards
- Synchronization to an alignment input (e.g. for alignment according to SMPTE-ST2059)
- Remapping of video pixels if needed (2SI decomposition)
- Embedding of video pixels into the SDI data streams
- ANC data packet processing to check for correct length
- Embedding of ANC data packets at the specified location into the SDI data streams
- Generating and insertion of Audio control packets into the SDI data streams
- Generating of audio group packets and embedding into the SDI data streams
Functions of the SDI-RX-Bridge:
- Audio extraction from a parallel SDI data stream
- ANC data extraction from a parallel SDI data stream
